Hello I’m Brenda. I am an HR Guru by day, helping corporate America grow and develop talent. I am married and am also raising a family with one kid off to college and another in her last year of high school.  The rest of my time is spent as a design, decor and DIY enthusiast.  I  am not a professional stylist or interior designer. Maybe like you, I find creating, exploring and playing with design and living spaces a hugely rewarding creative outlet that enriches all the areas of my multi-dimensional life.  I grew up in Huntington Beach, California a few steps from the beach. As a child and young adult the ocean and beach was my playground.  I still consider myself an HB “local” girl and beach culture remains a consistent inspiration.  However, after graduating from college (UC Irvine – go Anteaters!), my husband and I migrated to the beautiful Pacific Northwest. I live in Portland but also have another home in Bend and a VERY rustic retreat on Fiddle Creek a magical little spot on Siltcoos Lake.  These homes are my new “playground” and creating living spaces in these places is my passion. This blog is to share some cool, totally awesome (there is my surfer talk taking over), design ideas and projects that I hope can inspire you too.
